Gary Morgan About

Gary Morgan

I served as an Evangelical Protestant pastor for almost 35 years before encountering the Catholic Faith through a series of unexpected and grace filled events. In 2019, I was blessed to lead a group to the Holy Land and was deeply touched by many of the Holy sites as well as the faith of my Orthodox guide. A few months later, my youngest son unexpectedly announced that he was converting to Orthodoxy. This set me on a path of discovery that led through Orthodoxy, the Church Fathers, and ultimately to Catholicism. After many months of intense study and prayer, I was forced to accept that my Evangelical faith bore little resemblance to the early church. In 2021, I contacted the Coming Home Network, an apostolate geared toward helping Protestant clergy and lay people to come home to the Catholic Church, and they began helping my wife Donna and I through our discernment process. We joyfully came into full communion with the Catholic Church right here at St. Jude during the 2023 Easter Vigil.
