Brenda was born and raised in southern Minnesota in a town called Sleepy Eye. She went to Catholic grade school and high school. She attended St. Cloud State University and majored in Social Work it is a St. Cloud State that she met her husband Rick Schumann and they were married in 1988. In 1993 they moved to Texas and became members of St. Jude Parish. She joined the choir immediately but after their third child was born took time off until 2003 when she was recruited back into the choir, she also volunteers with the Wedding Ministry as needed. Brenda and Rick have four children and three grandchildren that keep them both very busy. She is passionate about being the Media and Communications Director but does take time off to play 'Gam' (grandma), travel, and she relaxes by either crocheting, knitting, or reading.
