Greetings from your Knights of Columbus council at St. Jude's. We are calling on all practicing Catholic men 18 years of age and older to come join us and help build the membership here. We have been here in the church for 40+ years and are a very integral part of the Church community and need your help to continue our growth and contributions to St. Jude's. Please ask any man you see who is wearing a Knights of Columbus badge how to join. You may also join on line by going to the council website @ http://www.kofc7736.org, or to the Supreme [email protected] http://www.kofc.org. Please come grow with us.

KofC Silver Rose Visit

The St. Jude Knights of Columbus Council members invite you to witness “The Silver Rose” visit to the parish on Saturday, June 11, at the 5:00PM mass.

The Knights of Columbus sponsored silver rose begins its journey each year in March and ends on Dec. 12, The Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe. It travels from town to town, parish to parish along eight routes throughout North America. Routes begin in Canada and end in Mexico.

The Silver Rose Program began in 1960 when the first “ real live rose” was blessed by a bishop in Ontario. The rose traveled to New York and then to Texas where it was taken across the border to Mexico. It ended its pilgrimage at the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Monterrey on Dec. 12, Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe. To ensure better annual trips, a silver rose was ultimately made. Today, due to the popularity of the program throughout the North American continent, eight silver roses travel their own unique routes to Mexico.

Due to the urgency of travel and scheduling of the silver rose at another parish in the DFW area, we regret the visit can only take place at the 5:00PM mass.

133 Coats were collected this year during our annual coat drive. The coats will be distributed on December 8, 2021.

The Knights of Columbus had a very successful Golf Tournament this year.
